PORTAGE LA PRAIRIE – The Manitoba government is investing over $34 million in new water and wastewater upgrades for Manitoba municipalities, Indigenous and Municipal Relations Minister Eileen Clarke announced today, along with Education and Training Minister Ian Wishart. “Our government is investing in important water and wastewater projects in communities across the province,” said Clarke.

The OWSIM Board of Directors and WCOWMA administration have begun the important work of drafting a Memorandum of Understanding outlining the processes for amalgamating the two organizations under the banner of the Manitoba Onsite Wastewater Management Association. A gradual transition will begin with recognition of OWSIM’s Board of Directors and members on the MOWMA website.
