The OWSIM Board of Directors and WCOWMA administration have begun the important work of drafting a Memorandum of Understanding outlining the processes for amalgamating the two organizations under the banner of the Manitoba Onsite Wastewater Management Association.

A gradual transition will begin with recognition of OWSIM’s Board of Directors and members on the MOWMA website. This will be followed by a review of the drafted MOU by OWSIM members prior to finalization of the agreement. Once the MOU has been finalized, a member meeting will be held on October 14 in Winnipeg to celebrate the amalgamation.

The amalgamation will ensure that OWSIM members maintain their elected Board of Directors, administration and member benefits, while enjoying expanded training capabilities, additional benefits and administrative support from the WCOWMA network. More details will be available in the coming weeks as we continue to work on this important initiative.
